Dining at Tir Y Coed
Our dining room is intimate, and you’ll never struggle to make yourself heard. We use local suppliers and produce wherever possible, and offer traditional food, with a modern twist, prepared with care and with an emphasis on what’s in season. Before coming to Tir y Coed, Sandra was a food stylist, home economist and recipe writer, working with many top food companies and chefs, so is passionate about what is served.
As we are so small, during the quieter periods outside the season, there may be no formal menu, but what’s on offer changes daily and we will be happy to discuss any special requirements so there is something suitable for you. We are lucky to be close to the sea, and in a farming area, with some great suppliers such as Mermaid Seafoods and Poyntons Butchers within a few miles. Provenance and animal welfare are always considered and you will invariably see something locally sourced on offer. During the off-season we also offer a Sunday roast lunch for which booking in advance is essential.
Bar, Balcony and Gardens
The bar’s a great place to relax and unwind, with the garden and balcony offering further options during the summer months. It’s easy to find a quiet spot to sit back with a Pimm’s or a G&T.
The garden is full of wildlife and birdsong, so you’re sure to spot (or hear) something on a summer afternoon. From the balcony you can watch the sun set over the mountain ridge or watch from the comfort of the bar if the weather stops you venturing outside.
Open to non-residents too, open from 6.30pm daily – booking advisable,
Terrace Bar open in Summer from 4pm
